Weave Raises $70M
Weave, which provides a patient communication platform primarily for the dental and optometry industries, closed a $70M series D round led by Tiger Global at a $970M post-money valuation. With the new funding, Weave plans on improving its products and developing its international presence. The company doubled its revenue in 2018, grew its Utah team from 300 employees at the beginning of the year to its current 550+ employees and also recently announced its plans to create another 1,000+ jobs in Utah over the next ten years in conjunction with a $5.18M tax rebate from the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Degreed Acquires Adepto
Degreed, the learning platform for individuals and organizations to build skills and obtain certifications, recently announced the acquisition of Adepto, which enables organizations to build private "Total Talent" networks that intelligently match internal and external workers to open projects, gigs, and job opportunities that fit their abilities and career goals. With this acquisition, Degreed expands its ability to serve its global and multinational organizations with 40+ new professional services, products and commercial teams on the ground in Europe and Australia. Podium & Weave Make YC Top Companies List
YCombinator included Podium and Weave on its list of the most valuable companies to come out of its prestigious accelerator -- Podium is listed at 45th and Weave at 61st. BallerTV Acquires FieldVision
BallerTV, the leader in live amateur sports coverage, acquired FieldVision, an artificial intelligence and computer vision company. FieldVision’s technology combines player tracking, ball tracking, game context recognition and autonomous filming to automate the production and live stream of any game. This proprietary software coupled with FieldVision’s first-of-its-kind autonomous camera, offers portability and cellular connectivity, making it possible to distribute its premium content quickly and effectively. BallerTV has now reached an unprecedented scale, providing full live video coverage of more than 250,000 games since 2017, and has broadcasted as many as 17,000 live games in a given weekend.
